METEC India 2026 Stall Design for Metallurgy and Foundry Equipment

Stall design for METEC India 2026 at Bombay Exhibition Centre: heavy exhibits, models and cutaways, process graphics, sample castings and technical meetings.

METEC India 2026 runs from 30 Nov–2 Dec 2026 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. For metallurgy and foundry equipment exhibitors, the stall has to solve a problem most other industries do not face: much of what you sell is too big, too hot or too heavy to bring to a hall, and the buyers are engineers who want detail, not slogans.

A good METEC stall is built around one decision: what will you physically show, and what will you explain instead. Once that is clear, the layout, floor and graphics follow. The METEC India 2026 show page has the key dates and planning notes.

Decide what to show and what to explain

Furnaces, moulding lines and sand plants rarely travel to a show at full size. Smaller equipment such as spectrometers, testing instruments, ladles, sensors and control panels often can. Sort your range into three groups before you brief a designer.

  • Real exhibits: compact machines and instruments that can be shipped, placed and powered on the stall.
  • Models and cutaways: scale models of large plants, or sectioned parts that show what happens inside.
  • Explained on screen or wall: full lines, installations and processes, shown through video loops, process diagrams and site photographs.

A stall with one hero exhibit, two or three supporting pieces and a clear process wall usually works better than one crowded with every product the company makes.

Heavy exhibits change how the stall is built

When equipment arrives on a pallet or needs a forklift, the stall build has to work around it. The order of work matters: heavy exhibits are usually placed first and the stall is built around them, or a platform is designed with an open bay so equipment can be rolled in later.

What to check before design is final

  1. Weight and footprint of every exhibit, including the base or skid it stands on.
  2. Floor loading guidance and the rules for placing heavy items, from the organiser's exhibitor manual.
  3. When machinery can enter the hall and how it is handled, which is often a separate schedule from stall build-up.
  4. Whether a raised platform can take the load, or whether heavy items should sit directly on the hall floor with the platform built around them.
  5. Power supply type and load for any exhibit that will be switched on, ordered before the manual deadline.

Share this information at the brief stage. A platform designed for carpet and visitors will not carry a machine, and finding that out during build-up costs time you will not have.

Make processes easy to follow

Foundry and metallurgy buyers understand the process. What they want to see is where your product fits and what it improves. A process wall that runs left to right, from raw material to finished casting, with your equipment marked at each step, answers that question in seconds.

Sample castings and finished parts are powerful here. Display them on plinths at hand height with short labels: the material, the process and the problem solved. Engineers like to pick things up, so fix only what must not leave the stall and keep handling samples on the counter.

Finishes and colours for an industrial stall

Industrial stalls do not need to look rough to look serious. Buyers notice when a stall is well made, because it says something about how carefully the company builds its own equipment. Clean edges, straight joints and good lighting matter more than decoration.

  • Use darker or mid-tone finishes near machines, where oil, dust and handling marks would show on white.
  • Keep brand colours for the fascia, process wall and key signs, so they read clearly against the equipment.
  • Light exhibits from above and slightly in front, so metal surfaces show their form without harsh glare.
  • Fit protective edging on platform steps and corners where exhibits are moved in and out.
  • Plan cable channels in the platform so power reaches each exhibit without loose wires on the floor.

If a machine will run on the stall, ask the equipment team about noise, heat and any safe distance needed around it. A low barrier or a change in floor finish marks the boundary clearly without making the stall feel fenced off.

Space for technical meetings

Conversations at an industrial show are long and specific. Buyers bring drawings, ask about capacities and want to see references. Give them a meeting table with a screen, a little privacy and enough light to read a drawing. On larger stalls, a closed meeting room is worth the space it takes.

METEC shares its dates and venue with India Essen Welding & Cutting 2026, so some visitors will be moving between the two. Check with the organiser how the halls are arranged, because it may affect which aisle sees the most traffic.

Building in Bengaluru for Mumbai

For a Mumbai show, we ask for the brief 6–8 weeks ahead. Industrial stalls benefit from the full window, because platform strength, exhibit placement and cable routes all need to be worked out before fabrication. Every stall is dry-assembled in our factory before it ships, so the platform and frame are checked before the truck leaves.

Our Bombay Exhibition Centre venue guide covers planning notes for the venue. Confirm machinery move-in timings, floor loading guidance and height limits in the exhibitor manual.
