India ITME 2026: Stall Design for Heavy Textile Machinery Exhibitors

Stall design for India ITME 2026 at India Expo Mart: building around heavy textile machines, move-in order, running demos, lint, noise and meeting space.

India ITME 2026 runs from 4–9 Dec 2026 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. For textile machinery exhibitors, the machine is the stall. Looms, spinning frames, knitting machines and printing lines are large, heavy and often running, so the stall must be planned around them, not the other way round.

The key decisions are the order in which machines and stall arrive, how the floor handles weight and cables, how a running machine is shown safely, and where buyers sit for the long technical conversations that follow. Six show days also mean the stall has to hold up well. The India ITME 2026 show page has the dates and planning notes.

Start with the machine layout

Before any design work, the machinery team and the stall designer need the same information. We ask for it at the brief stage, because every later decision depends on it.

  • Footprint, height and weight of each machine, including any base frame.
  • Which machines will run, and their power supply type and load.
  • Any compressed air, water or extraction needs.
  • Clearances needed around each machine for operators, maintenance and safety.
  • How and when each machine reaches the hall, and what lifting equipment is needed.

With this, we draw the machines on the plan first, then place walls, platform, meeting space and storage in the gaps. Machines usually need the best sight lines from the main aisle, so the stall structure should frame them rather than hide them.

Move-in order and the floor

Heavy machinery often enters the hall on a separate schedule from stall build-up. The organiser's exhibitor manual will set out when machines can be moved in, how they are handled and what floor loading guidance applies. Read it early and share it with both teams.

Two ways to handle the platform

The first option is to place machines directly on the hall floor and build the platform around them, with neat edge trims where the two meet. This avoids loading the platform and makes positioning easier. The second is to build a reinforced platform designed for the specific machine weights. This looks cleaner but needs exact data and more structure.

Whichever you choose, plan cable and air routes in the platform before fabrication. Running power and air lines to several machines across an open floor without trip hazards needs channels or covers that are designed in, not added on the day.

Running machines on the stall

A running machine draws a crowd like nothing else at ITME. It also brings noise, moving parts, lint and heat. Plan for each one.

  1. Mark a clear safety zone around running machines with a low barrier or a change in floor finish.
  2. Keep fabric graphics and soft finishes away from areas where lint and fibre collect, and plan daily cleaning.
  3. Place the meeting area as far from the loudest machine as the layout allows.
  4. Fix a screen near each machine that explains what it is producing and its key benefits, so operators are not shouting over the noise.
  5. Display finished fabric or yarn from each machine at hand height, so visitors can feel the output.

The organiser may have rules on noise, running times and guarding for working exhibits. Confirm them before you finalise which machines will run.

Meeting space for long conversations

Textile machinery is a considered purchase. Mill owners and technical teams spend real time at the stalls they are serious about, often with drawings, production numbers and questions about service and spares. Give them a proper meeting room or a semi-closed area with a table, a screen and good acoustic separation from the machines.

A small refreshment counter and storage for brochures, spares catalogues and staff bags complete the support area. Over six days, a tidy back-of-stall makes a big difference to how the front looks.

Branding above and between the machines

When large machines fill most of the floor, there is little wall space left for graphics. The brand has to work from height and from the edges. A tall fascia frame or a hanging banner, if the organiser permits rigging, keeps your name visible across the hall even when visitors crowd around the machines.

  • Use the machine guards and side panels for short, clear labels, if the machine maker agrees.
  • Put a slim totem at each machine with its model name and three key points.
  • Keep one solid wall, usually behind the meeting area, for the main brand message and contact details.
  • Check height limits and rigging rules in the exhibitor manual before designing anything above the stall.

Visitors at ITME often come from several countries and regions. Keep wording simple and use numbers, diagrams and product images where possible, because they travel across languages better than long sentences.

Building from Bengaluru for Greater Noida

Our factory is in Bengaluru, so for Greater Noida we ask for the brief 6–8 weeks before the show. Machinery stalls should use the whole window: machine data, organiser approvals and platform design take time to settle. Every stall is dry-assembled in our factory before it is packed and trucked north, and our own crew installs it, stays through the show and dismantles it.

Our India Expo Mart venue guide covers planning notes for the venue, and our page on stalls in Greater Noida explains how we work there. For stall types and builds in general, see exhibition stalls.
