Convergence India 2027 Stall Planning for Telecom and Infrastructure

Planning a stall for Convergence India 2027 at Bharat Mandapam: showing networks and data centres, rack displays, live dashboards, meetings and timelines.

Convergence India 2027 runs from 23–25 Mar 2027 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. Telecom and digital infrastructure brands have a particular stall problem: most of what they sell cannot be seen. Networks, fibre routes, data centres, cloud platforms and managed services live in buildings, under roads or in software. The stall has to make them tangible.

The approach that works is to show a few real pieces of hardware, explain the system around them clearly, and give enterprise and government visitors a professional place to talk. Because the show is in March, planning for a stall built in Bengaluru should start in January. The Convergence India 2027 show page has the key details.

Make the invisible visible

Visitors cannot walk through your data centre or follow your fibre route, but they can see a piece of it and understand the rest through a simple story. Choose one or two of these approaches rather than trying all of them.

  • Real hardware: a rack with live equipment, a radio unit, an outdoor cabinet or a cut section of cable and duct.
  • Scale models: a tower site, a data centre hall or a city network, built as a lit model on a plinth.
  • Live dashboards: network monitoring or service screens showing real or demo data, which shows that the product works.
  • Wall diagrams: a clear map of how your network or service connects users, sites and cloud, drawn simply enough to read in a few seconds.
  • Before-and-after stories: what changes for a customer, told without naming them unless you have permission.

The header and the eye-level wall should say, in plain language, what you provide and for whom. Telecom acronyms that mean everything inside the industry mean very little to a buyer from a bank, a hospital or a state department.

Hardware on the stall: weight, heat and power

Server and network racks are heavy, and live equipment produces heat and noise. Plan for each before the stall design is final.

  1. List every piece of equipment with its weight, footprint and power draw.
  2. Decide whether racks stand on the hall floor or on a reinforced section of platform.
  3. Leave ventilation space behind and around running equipment, and avoid boxing it into a closed cabinet.
  4. Place noisy equipment away from meeting areas.
  5. Order power for the full load before the deadline in the exhibitor manual, and consider a UPS for live demos.
  6. Plan network connectivity: an offline demo, a dedicated wired line if the organiser offers one, or both.

Glass-fronted racks with internal lighting look good and let visitors see the hardware without touching it. Lock them, and keep spare cables and tools in stall storage, not on top of the rack.

For fibre and passive infrastructure brands, a cut section is often the most effective exhibit of all. A sectioned cable, a duct with fibres pulled through it or a splice closure opened up on a lit plinth lets visitors see exactly what goes into the ground. Label each layer, and keep a handling sample on the counter so people can feel the weight and flexibility.

Enterprise and government visitors

A large share of the useful conversations at an infrastructure show are with enterprise IT heads, operators, system integrators and government departments. These meetings are rarely quick. They need a table, a screen to share a presentation and enough privacy to discuss commercial terms.

Planning meeting space

On an inline or corner stall, a semi-closed meeting area with frosted panels may be enough. On an island stall, a closed meeting room or two is usually worth the floor area. If senior delegations or VIP walkthroughs are likely, plan a clear route through the stall and a spot where a short presentation can be given standing up.

Timeline for a March show in New Delhi

Our factory is in Bengaluru, so for New Delhi we ask for the brief 6–8 weeks before the show. For late March, that means a brief in January and design approval by early February.

  1. January: brief with stall size, equipment list and meeting needs. 3D design and revisions.
  2. Early February: final design and drawings for organiser submission.
  3. February to early March: fabrication, graphics and electrical planning in our factory.
  4. March: full dry-assembly and walkthrough, then packing and road transport to New Delhi.
  5. Build-up: installation by our crew, followed by show support and dismantling.

Our Bharat Mandapam venue guide covers venue planning notes, and our page on stalls in New Delhi explains how we work there. Confirm build-up timings, height limits and power deadlines in the exhibitor manual.

Convergence India runs on the same dates and at the same venue as Mobile India Expo 2027. If your company plans to be at both, decide early whether that means one stall or two, because it affects booking, design and staffing. A stall built as a reusable system can also travel to later shows, which is worth discussing at the brief stage. See how stall reuse works.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Walls full of acronyms that only insiders understand.
  • Live demos relying on hall Wi-Fi.
  • Running equipment closed in a cabinet with no airflow.
  • No private space for commercial conversations.
  • Starting planning in late February for a late-March show.
